Getting Back on the Road to a Healthy Heart

Once you have been diagnosed and a course of treatment determined, it’s critically important to follow your doctor’s directions.

If medications have been prescribed, take them exactly as directed, in the proper doses and on schedule. Be sure to schedule all necessary follow-up appointments so that your physician can keep track of your progress and head off any problems that may arise.

If you have experienced a heart attack, bypass surgery or angina in the past year, it is likely that your physician will recommend that you participate in our 12-week, medically supervised Cardiac Rehabilitation program to help you on your road to recovery.

Our Cardiac Rehabilitation team works with you to create a customized plan to help you feel stronger and return to a full and productive life. The program includes monitored exercises and consultations regarding dietary and behavioral changes, as well as information for improving your heart health.

Various types of equipment are available to help you reach your rehabilitation goals, including treadmills, exercise bicycles and arm bicycles
